Mission Statement

The Transport Innovation Alliance assists city mobility and transportation directors to deploy emerging technologies to deliver on their goals of more efficient, safer and sustainable transport.

To facilitate the adoption of new technologies including generative AI, the Alliance provides members with peer-to-peer roundtables, workshops, research, tools and playbooks.

City and local government officials work collaboratively alongside corporate members in working groups, virtual sessions and at in-person meetings.

Governance

The Alliance operates through an Executive Committee and Working Groups that bring together city and transport authority officials and industry. The Steering Committee is responsible for setting the overall objectives and strategy for the Transport Innovation Alliance.

The Working Groups serve as knowledge-sharing hubs that support the different workstreams of the Alliance. The Secretariat, which is hosted by the Cities Today Institute, is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Alliance.

Working Groups

The Transport Innovation Alliance has Working Groups focused on infrastructure and planning, logistics and freight, and safety. City officials work together in individual Working Groups through virtual and in-person sessions.

To support the integrated planning and collaboration with academia and the private sector, the Alliance provides members with reports and summaries drawn from all Working Groups supported by use cases and best practices.
