Emerging Themes for Vision Zero Cities
Developed by Silicon Highway following the Transport Innovation Alliance (TIA) Leadership Forum in London on 30 September–1 October 2026, this report examines the road safety challenges identified by city transport leaders across Europe and beyond.
Based on anonymised submissions from 14 cities, the analysis identifies four recurring challenges – junction and crossing conflicts, speeding and enforcement, school-zone safety, and risks involving heavy vehicles and trams. It also highlights a common gap in the evidence cities need to understand risks before crashes occur and make informed decisions about potential interventions.
